The Head of State and Na Gone Turaga Na Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has conveyed his best wishes to the Navatu Secondary School Under-19 team as they prepare to take on Lelean Memorial School in Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Super Deans final today.
The Cakaudrove-based team visited State House, where they met Ratu Naiqama, who congratulated the team on their historic achievement and reminded the students of the importance of balancing their sporting commitments with their education.
He also highlighted the opportunities available through rugby, noting the significant contribution the sport has made to the livelihoods of many Fijians.
Navatu’s historic qualification for the Under-19 final marks a significant milestone for the school and is a proud moment for its students, families, supporters and the people of Cakaudrove.
Navatu Secondary will face Lelean at 2.20pm.
