As a spectacular New Year fireworks display lit up the Sydney sky at midnight, a giant typo was beamed onto the Harbour Bridge telling the crowd it was still 2018 it read “ Happy New Year, 2018.
An estimated 1 million people braved stormy conditions in Sydney to catch a glimpse of the show, which was expected to be watched by more than a billion people around the world.
Organiser who oversaw the planning of the fireworks and say they saw the funny side of the mistake.
Sydney Harbour lit up with 8.5 tonnes of fireworks as the clock ticked over to midnight.
