Nasinu Town Council is encouraging growth and development within the Nasinu Municipality.

CEO Akhtar Ali said they also encourage Public Private Partnership for commercial development and investments opportunities in Nasinu.

This is after a new $4 million Rajendra’s Food Town Supermarket is expected to open by the end of this year and 70 people are expected to be employed.

The other project is the Waiqele Sawmill Limited’s $1.5 million investment on the construction of a three storey building which will create close to 200 new jobs.

Ali said this project is expected to open early 2017.

Ali said there is a reduced building development application time which allows for faster processing time and this is enhanced by their approved Town Planning Scheme this year.

He added the council is working together with stakeholders and community to foster higher investment and commercial growth opportunities in Nasinu.
