A Communications Officer will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today charged with allegedly importing marijuana.
The 52-year-old woman was arrested at the Suva Post Office upon receiving a consignment from the United States allegedly containing two candles containing marijuana.
The contents of the parcel were tested and proved positive for illicit drugs.
She faces one count of unlawful possession of an illicit drug contrary to section 5(a) of the Illicit Drugs Control Act and one count of unlawful importation of illicit drugs contrary to Section (4) 1 of the Illicit Drugs Control Act.
