In the Intermediate Girls 800 metres heat 1, Ra High School’s Tinai Dina took out the race and is hopeful of bringing home gold for the Western division.

Marika Kelekelevesi of RKS lit up the Laucala track once again, following his 1,500 metres victory yesterday with a win in the Junior Boys 800 metres heat, beating Allan Olaf of Marist Brothers High School.

The Junior Girls 800 metres heat 1 saw Jasper Williams High School sprinter Silivia Tagaivetaua execute a well-planned race to claim victory.

Ra High School claimed the Sub-Junior Boys heat 1, with Iliesa Tuimaimereke surging from behind to overtake competitors from Wainimala Secondary School and Ratu Kadavulevu School. The 14-year-old from Mataso Village told fijivillage Sports that he is determined and confident of winning gold.
