Organisers of the 4th Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s have confirmed that preparations are on track following the successful hosting of the Managers’ Briefing, which saw a strong turnout from participating team managers and coaches.

The briefing was held to ensure teams are fully informed and prepared ahead of the tournament.

They say sponsors addressed the teams on the Series Points, outlining their significance within the Fiji Bitter Sevens Series and the impact each match will have on team standings.

Organisers say match officials and the Match Commissioner provided detailed explanations on match procedures, rules and expectations to ensure consistency and smooth operations throughout the competition.

They highlighted that team managers were also given the opportunity to raise key issues and engage in discussions on tournament bylaws, reinforcing clarity, transparency and fairness for all teams.

The organisers say the interactive session played a vital role in aligning teams with tournament regulations and standards ahead of kick-off.

Games get underway today at 8.30am at Subrail Park in Labasa.

The opening match in Pool A of the Under-21 category at 8.36am will see Fiji Seasalt Taveuni Select take on VBM Black Heron, setting the tone for a highly competitive day.

Other early Under-21 matches include Service Rugby U21 facing Loloma Heights U21 at 8.48am.

In the Men’s Pool A category, Service Rugby will face Marist Rugby at 10.36am, while another notable match-up will see BLK Lavidi Brothers take on Valeni Brothers at 10.48am.
