The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side has been knocked out once again in the fifth-place semi-final, falling 26-19 to Canada at the Perth 7s.
Fijiana made a strong start, dominating the first half with confident attacking play and solid defence to take an early lead.
Their structured play and quick ball movement allowed them to control possession and put Canada under pressure.
However, momentum shifted in the second half, with Canada responding strongly and capitalising on defensive lapses by the Fijians.
Despite their efforts, Fijiana could not maintain their lead, and Canada came back to secure the win.
Meanwhile, in the women’s cup semi-finals, New Zealand will face France at 4.13pm, while Australia will meet the USA at 4.35pm.
