English League Cup champions Newcastle United are through to the Carabao Cup semi finals after a 2-1 victory over Fulham in the quarter finals this morning.
Yoane Wissa opened the scoring for Newcastle in the 10th minute, but Fulham equalised just six minutes later through Sasa Lukić, leaving the score level at 1-1 at half-time.
With the match heading towards penalties, 19-year-old Lewis Miley scored a dramatic winning goal in the 92nd minute from a Sandro Tonali corner.
The win is a major boost for Newcastle after losing their previous match and sends them into their third League Cup semi-final in four years.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have also booked their place in the semi finals after defeating Brentford 2-0.
