As Extra Supermarket Bula FC finalise preparations for their opening match in the OFC Pro League, experienced forward Roy Krishna has emerged as a key mentor for the club’s young squad.

With many teenagers and first-time professionals in the team, Krishna says they need guidance, but also tough love.

He adds that discipline is crucial in a professional environment.

Krishna explained that he is passing on lessons learned from his time overseas, emphasising the importance of lifestyle choices such as sleep, diet, and commitment.

Krishna says training over the past two weeks has been intense, with the squad now focused on being match-ready for Saturday’s historic fixture.

He also urged fans across Fiji and Oceania to support their local clubs as the region enters a new professional era.

Bula FC will take on Vanuatu United FC at 2pm this Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland in their OFC Pro League opener.

The side will then face South Island United next Tuesday at 2pm at North Harbour Stadium.

Bula FC will wrap up Round 1 with a much-anticipated showdown against Auckland FC next Friday at 6pm, also at North Harbour Stadium.
