As Fiji’s first professional football club prepares for a historic debut in the inaugural OFC Professional League, Bula FC’s pre-season training is well under way.
Speaking to fijivillage News, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Anushil Kumar says that despite the late public announcement of players, preparations for the competition began in the first week of December.

Kumar explains that Bula FC is mindful of the significance of professional contracts for its players, many of whom are experiencing a fully professional environment for the first time in their careers.
He acknowledges frustration among fans regarding the delayed player announcements but urges supporters to remain patient and trust the process.
He says the frustration reflects how much people care about Bula FC.
He adds that, together, they want to make Bula FC and Fiji proud on the international stage.
Bula FC will make history by playing in the opening match of the first-ever OFC Professional League.
The team departs Fiji on 14th January and will face Vanuatu United FC on 17th January at Eden Park in Auckland.
They will then play South Island United on 20th January and Auckland City FC on 23rd January in the opening series.
