Vanua Trophy: Traditional rivalry reignited when Kadavu takes on Navosa in final on Saturday

With their positions in the Skipper Cup 2026 secured, it will be a reignition of traditional rivalries when the tauvu teams of Navosa and Kadavu take on each other in the Vodafone Vanua Trophy Championship final in Sigatoka on Saturday.

Navosa defeated Rewa yesterday in the Vanua semi finals 34–26, before that they had thumped Northland 38-29.

Kadavu beat Taveuni 18-13 in their semi final yesterday, earlier they had edged out Tavua 30-29 in the quarter final.

In an interview with fijivillage Sports, Navosa Assistant Coach and former Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Jone Koroiduadua say they will need to improve on their discipline, scrum, and defence.

Koroiduadua says that to win the final, players will need to execute the basics well on the field.

He believes the Navosa team can do better on game day.

Navosa plays Kadavu at 3pm Saturday at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

The Ba Women will face the Macuata Women in the Royal Tea Ranadi final at 11am at the same venue.
