Vancouver 7s: Fiji to face South Africa in semi finals at 8.52am

Fiji beat GB 24-0 in quarters

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side will play South Africa in the Vancouver 7s semi-finals at 8.52 this morning.

This is after they thrashed Great Britain 24-0 in the quarter-final.

Fiji started strong with two tries from Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Joseva Talacolo to lead Great Britain 12-0 at halftime.

They showed dominance in the second half, holding off a range of attacks from Great Britain.

Joji Nasova and Waisea Nacuqu scored a try each in the second half to put Fiji into the semi finals.

Meanwhile, Spain beat New Zealand 12-7 to book their place in the semi finals, where they will face Argentina at 8.30am today.

The Men’s Cup final will kick off at 1.05pm today.

In the pool games, Fiji thrashed Uruguay 38-12, before thumping the USA 33-12, and having to dig deep to get a 26-21 win over Spain.
