Fiji Water Flying Fijians winger and Racing 92 powerhouse Josua Tuisova has praised the Fijian Drua Academy for its vital role in nurturing local rugby talent.
Currently playing in France’s Top 14 competition, Tuisova recently visited the Drua training camp and said it was inspiring to see the structured support now available to young Fijian players.
Tuisova says when he started playing rugby, they did not have these kinds of programs or pathways, and it is overwhelming to see how much has changed.
The Votua, Ba man says he is glad academy players now receive the mentorship and structure to help them develop their game professionally.

Looking to the future of Fijian rugby, Tuisova believes the Academy is laying a strong foundation, equipping young athletes not just for success on the field, but also for personal growth and financial stability beyond rugby.
He says these programs will not only produce great players, but also help them support themselves and their families during rugby’s short career span.
