The Fiji Police Force’s fight against drug-related crime has received a major boost, with TotalEnergies Marketing (Fiji) Pte Ltd contributing $15,000 towards this year’s Ratu Sukuna Bowl Rugby Tournament, a key platform for the Force’s community outreach and anti-drug awareness efforts.

TotalEnergies Vice President B2B Eroni Verevukivuki says the company is honoured to support the annual event, which has become a vital partnership between the Police and the public in raising awareness about drugs, HIV, and other social issues.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Aporosa Lutunauga welcomed the contribution, saying the funds go beyond sports and directly empower the Force’s work to build safer and healthier communities.

He adds that this support aligns with the Fiji Police Force’s Strategic Plan 2025–2029, which focuses on strengthening partnerships to achieve a safe and drug-free Fiji.

He adds that since the Police are hosting this year’s Ratu Sukuna Bowl tournament, the sponsorship will be used to cover accommodation, transportation, and refreshments for players across all sporting events.

He says that the Ratu Sukuna Bowl Tournament has become a platform where law enforcement, corporate partners, and the public unite to tackle crime and promote positive lifestyles.

Lutunauga extendes his gratitude to TotalEnergies for their continued support and urged all Fijians to stand together in the campaign for a drug-free Fiji.
