Fiji Airways Drua hooker Samu Suguturaga could be facing a lengthy ban if found guilty for allegedly biting his opposite number, Brisbane City skipper Andrew Ready, on the ear in a scrum last weekend.

The ‘lower end’ entry point for biting sanctions under World Rugby Regulation 17 suggests a 12‑week suspension, meaning Suguturaga’s NRC could be over just as it began.

Suguturaga will be facing the NRC judicial hearing tomorrow night.

The national side are currently training in Brisbane to prepare for their second game against the Melbourne Rising this Friday.

The Drua will be flying to Melbourne on Thursday to take on the Rising.

Meanwhile Fiji born players Marika Koroibete and Kitione Ratu are expected to feature for the Melbourne Rising.

The Fiji Airways Drua will take on Melbourne Rising at 5pm Friday.
