FIJI Water Flying Fijians forward Motikiai Murray has been suspended for four matches following a dangerous tackle during the Flying Fijians’ Test match against Japan on Saturday.

Murray was issued a red card for an offence under Law 9.13, which relates to dangerous tackling, after the incident was reviewed and upgraded by the Foul Play Review Officer.

The team is now preparing for its upcoming Nations Championship match against France, with head coach Jake White and his coaching staff conducting an intensive three-day camp in Lyon.

White says the camp is an important opportunity for the coaching staff to assess players’ performances, combinations and overall readiness ahead of the match.

He says the final squad is yet to be confirmed, with the official team expected to be announced on Friday.

The Flying Fijians will face France next Sunday at 8.10am, before taking on Ireland on 15th November and Italy on 22nd November.

The Flying Fijians have climbed to ninth place in the latest World Rugby rankings following their 34–28 victory over Japan.

Fiji have accumulated 77.85 ranking points, moving ahead of Wales, who are in 10th place with 76.38 points.
