Rampur College beats Tailevu North 3-1 in Southern Zone U19 football final play-off

Rampur College secured a 3-1 win over Tailevu North College in the Under-19 final play-off of the Oceania Fiberglass Southern Zone Secondary Schools Football Competition at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Rampur captain Taniela Mailesu opened the scoring before Ilaisa Radaniva equalised for Tailevu North.

Arav Nandan restored Rampur’s lead, and Mailesu sealed the win with his second goal of the match.

In other play-off matches held today, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School and Suva Muslim College U19 teams played out a 1-all draw, Vashisht Muni College edged Rishikul Sanatan College 2-1 in the U17 grade, the second Rishikul Sanatan College U17 team secured a 1-0 win over Nakasi High School, and Vunimono High School and DAV College U15 teams drew 1-all.

Day two of the zonal play-offs continues tomorrow.
