Fiji Warriors coach Senirusi Seruvakula says going into the World Rugby Pacific Challenge in Samoa this week their goal is to cap their young players

Seruvakula says they do not want to lose them to other countries, because there will be union and rugby league scouts attending or watching this tournament.

Out of the squad of 28 players that are going Seruvakula says 15 are uncapped.

The squad has 5 players from the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, 8 from the Oceania U20 side which played as the U20 Fijian Drua in Super Rugby, while the rest are from the High Performance Unit playing in the Skipper Cup.

He says going into this competition as defending champions they know that all the other teams are coming to beat them.

The Warriors coach says they are also working on the players confidence, especially the players who will be representing Fiji at the U20 World Cup in South Africa from 29 June-19 July, 2024.

The Fiji Warriors will meet Tonga A at 12.25pm this Wednesday.
