Northland Rugby players and officials clean up Korovou Town and hospital

The Northland Rugby team has shown its appreciation to the Korovou community by organizing a clean-up of the town and hospital as a gesture of thanks for years of support.

Northland Rugby Union President Neumi Vakadewabuka told fijivillage News that the initiative was a way to give back to the Vanua and people of Korovou, who have played a key role in the development of grassroots rugby in the region.

Players helped clean the Korovou Hospital and spent time with supporters in the area, including a special visit to die-hard fan Esava Kobiti Jnr, who had recently been injured in a road accident.

Vakadewabuka, a retired Lieutenant Colonel, expressed his sincere gratitude to the people of Tailevu North for their continued commitment to the team.

He highlighted that for the first time, Northland's Senior, Women's, and Under-20 teams have all qualified for the quarterfinals this season.
