Samuela Naivitalai of Ratu Kadavulevu School has now shifted his focus to the 2025 Coca-Cola Games, which kicks off next Thursday and aims to win medals for his school.

Navitalai won the Blue Ribbon race during the Tailevu Zone.

He says he'll need to lift his game come the Cokes Game because all athletes are preparing for this competition.

Naivitalai says he has set his target of winning a medal in the Coke Games this year after missing out in last year's game since he finished third during the zone competition in the 100 metres.

He says training and preparation is going well.

Good competition will be expected in the Blue Ribbon race, with champions from different zones aiming to clinch the title and make history for their schools.

Joshua Ducia of Ratu Sukuna Memorial High School won the 100 metres during the Suva Zone 2, Penaia Ramasirai of Marist Brothers High School is the winner of Suva Zone 1, Rupeni Caucaunibuca of Naitasiri Secondary School clinched the fastest athlete in the Triple N Zone, and Josefata Tuinavitilevu of Natabua High School is the Lautoka Zone champion.

Meanwhile, RKS finished in fifth place in the overall boy’s division in last year’s Coke Games with 2 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from next Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
