Representing Fiji on the international stage is something Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s outside back Kolora Lomani is always proud of when it comes to the sport of rugby.

The 25-year-old Joma, Kadavu woman says she just enjoys the Drua environment and being around the players as she gets to learn more about her culture.

Lomani moved to New Zealand with her family at a very young age where she lived most of her life there growing up.

They later moved to Australia where she continued her education and her rugby career.

She moved back to Fiji in 2022 where she was part of the history-making Drua Women’s side that won the Super W title in their inaugural year that year before she moved to Australia last year to join the Brumbies.

Lomani says moving back to Fiji this year, she has really noticed a whole lot of difference compared to the time she spent with the Brumbies women last year.

Lomani was also part of the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side last year that took part in the HSBC SVNS World Series and also made the cut for the Fijiana 7s team that took part in the Paris Olympics last year.

While speaking about the Super W season this year, Lomani says she believes this year will be a good year for them especially having a lot of new and young players coming in.

She says with the new players in the squad, every player has to fight for their spot in the team, which is something good for them as competition is needed in the squad.

Lomani says she is looking forward to helping the team bring the Super W title back home.

The Drua Women will kick start their 2025 campaign against the Waratahs on Friday 28th February at 5.05pm in Sydney.
