The Rooster Chicken Fijiana are closing in on the top 20 in the World Rugby women’s rankings for the first time.
Following their win in the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship over the weekend, the Fijiana currently sit on 21st position.
They gained 1.71 points after the win and while it was not enough for them to improve on the 21st position, the Fijiana are now just 0.38 points away from breaking into the Top 20 for the first time.
England is currently first in the women’s rankings, New Zealand is second while France is third.
Meanwhile the Flying Fijians have slipped from 11th to 12th on the World Rugby rankings following their loss against Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup.
Ireland is now ranked 1st in the world following their historic series win over the All Blacks in New Zealand.
