England international John Bateman is joining West Tigers on a four-year deal where he will be linking up with Isaiah Papali'i, Fiji Bati Apisai Koroisau, David Klemmer and Charlie Staines ahead of the 2023 campaign.

The four-year deal for Bateman will see the former Raiders forward join Wests Tigers until at least the end of 2026, after playing the past two seasons with Wigan.

Bateman says he can’t wait to begin a new chapter at a club that he knows is going places.

The England international says he wants to be a part of the rebuild at the club and he is really excited to be coming back to the NRL."

Wests Tigers will open its 2023 season on Sunday 5th March against the Gold Coast Titans.
