The lack of training equipment at Cuvu College is not deterring the focus of their Under-18 team in the Vodafone Super Deans Competition, as they now look forward to the Vodafone Western Zone Secondary Schools Rugby final against Natabua High School this weekend.

Cuvu College Principal, Manoj Vikash Roop, told fijivillage Sports that the players have always utilised the village gym for training, even though it is not fully equipped.

Roop says he believes in the strength and potential of the players, not only academically, but also in sports, which he believes will take them far in life.

The principal is urging parents and supporters of Cuvu College to come out in numbers and support the Under-18 side this weekend.

The venue for the Western Zone final is yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, in other Under-18 divisional finals, Suva Grammar School will take on Marist Brothers High School in the Southern Zone, Queen Victoria School will face Ratu Kadavulevu School in the Eastern Zone, while Nabala Secondary School will meet Bucalevu Secondary School in the Northern Zone.
