Consistency is the key - Gamel
Action between Fiji and Solomon Islands

Vodafone Fiji soccer coach Christophe Gamel says consistency is the key to maintain their performance as they get ready to play New Caledonia in the FIFA World Cup Qualifying match next week.

The match will be a formality as New Zealand as already qualified for the next leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifies however victory in these two matches will help improve Fiji’s FIFA rankings.

Gamel says this will be another opportunity for the young players to continue to perform.

Gamel says Amani Makoe who captained Fiji against Solomons in the second match on Sunday is away from camp due to family commitments.

He says he has also added impressive Suva defender Epeli Lairoti to the team and veteran defender Samuela Kautoga is also included in the squad.

Fiji will play New Caledonia at 7pm next Wednesday at Churchill Park.
