Brodie Retallick is ready for whatever South Africa will throw at him on Saturday night.
The All Blacks lock missed last year's 36‑34 loss to the Springboks in Wellington because of a shoulder injury picked up the previous weekend against Argentina, but he has had enough tussles over the years with the men in green to know what to expect.
Both teams rested a slew of frontline players for their Rugby Championship openers last weekend, leading Retallick to think an extra edge would be added to this weekend's contest at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
The All Blacks play South Africa at 7.35pm this Saturday while Australia take on Argentina at 9.45pm on the same day.
