After a frustrating wait, Joseph Parker has been cleared to return to the ring.

Parker returned a positive test for a recreational drug following his 11th-round TKO loss to Fabio Wardley in November.

Denying any wrongdoing, Parker was subjected to a lengthy investigation by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD), which put his career on hold and his reputation at risk.

It now appears his name will be cleared after he released a statement to The Post today.

Parker says he is pleased to confirm that his provisional suspension has been lifted and that he will be back in the ring soon.

He says he has been advised not to comment further while the remaining details are finalised.

The former WBO heavyweight champion has maintained that the failed test was caused by sample contamination.
