Defending champions Argentina have secured a place in the FIFA World Cup final after coming from behind to beat England 2-1 in a dramatic semi-final.

After a goalless first half, Anthony Gordon gave England the lead in the 55th minute following an assist from Morgan Rogers.

England remained ahead until Enzo Fernández equalised for Argentina in the 85th minute, with Lionel Messi providing the assist.

Lautaro Martínez then scored the winning goal in the second minute of added time, again assisted by Messi, to complete Argentina’s late comeback.

The third-place play-off between England and France will be played at 9am on Sunday.

Argentina will now face Spain in the FIFA World Cup final at 7am on Monday.
