Extra Bula FC midfielder Fergus Gillion says the team remains confident, with players determined to learn from recent performances and bounce back stronger as they prepare to take on Vanuatu United FC tomorrow in the semi-final play-off.
Gillion says while the side was disappointed with the number of goals conceded in recent games, the players are focused on building on the positives and improving key areas ahead of their upcoming fixture.
He says the team believes it can deliver a strong performance in the next game.
The midfielder also reflects on his experience with Bula FC, describing it as an enjoyable and memorable journey.
Gillion says adapting to a new culture and environment had been a rewarding experience and admitted it would be emotional seeing the team return to Fiji while he remains in New Zealand.
He says he has enjoyed the strong bond formed with teammates and the atmosphere within the squad.
Speaking on his personal development, Gillion says the experience of living and playing in Fiji helped him grow both technically and mentally as a footballer.
After finishing last in the Leaders Group, Bula FC will take on the leader of the Challengers Group, Vanuatu United FC at 3pm tomorrow in Auckland.
The winner of the this match will take on South Melbourne FC on May 20th in the first semi final.
Auckland FC will face South Island United in the second semi final also on May 20th in the second semi final.
