Tikoisuva to be Fiji’s flag bearer at the Commonwealth Games

Champion bowler, Litia Tikoisuva, will have the honor of being Fiji's flag bearer at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland from July 23rd to August 3rd.

Chef de Mission, Lyndall Fisher said the Glasgow outing will be Litia's 4th Commonwealth Games appearance, having represented Fiji at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Games, 2002 Manchester Games and 2006 Melbourne Games. 

Litia will be in traditional Fijian dress for the Opening Ceremony which will be held on July 23rd.

Team Fiji morale will be boosted by the support of The President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and The High Commissioner of Fiji in London, Ratu Solo Mara, who will both attend the Games.

Team Fiji will be departing in three groups starting with the Athletics and Bowls teams tomorrow, Swimming and Weightlifting sides will depart on Wednesday while the rest will leave next Friday.
