There will be a slight decrease in the number of athletes and participating schools in next week's Coca Cola Games.
Head Organiser, Vuli Waqa said 2400 athletes and 123 schools have so far confirmed their participation for the competition next week.
He said the numbers will be confirmed after the Maritime Zone next Monday.
According to Waqa, there is a decrease because of the new zone qualifying system and also due to difficulties faced by schools in raising funds to travel to Suva for the competition.
They are expecting a total of 2500 athletes to participate at this year's event.
Meanwhile Damodar Cinemas has joined in as sponsors for the Coca Cola Games and they will provide all Gold Medalists a complementary food voucher, a free movie pass and combo snack pack.
The Coca Cola Games will be held next Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
