Suva Grammar School's top female athlete, Paulini Korowaqa is determined to improve her medal tally at the Mini Pacific Games that will be held in the Cook Islands next week.
Korowaqa will be taking part for the first time in the 200m event, but will be aiming for Gold in the 400, 4*400 and the 4*100m relay.
The Nairukuruku native from Naitasiri, who managed to win silver medals in Samoa, is confident of a good outing as her PNG counterparts, who were her major threats in 2007, will not be taking part.
Meanwhile, 2009 Coke Light Games Male Athlete Banuve Tabakaucoro said that competition will be tough, unlike the Coke Games, he will be competing against top athletes from the Pacific region.
