Rewa Soccer President Nazeel Buksh has questioned Oceania Football Confederation President David Chung on his comments where he has praised Fiji Football Association president for his hard work in Fiji.

In a statement, Buksh has also questioned the timing of such comments by Chung saying he is singing praise for the current Fiji FA president when the election for Fiji FA’s post is just days away.

Buksh said by publicly praising Rajesh Patel on the eve of Fiji FA elections, Chung may have compromised his neutrality as the president of OFC.

The OFC President David Chung in a statement has recently stated that in the past four years the Fiji FA has been working hard at getting the basics right and they are now proving they are on to a winning formula.

Chung said strong leadership shown by Rajesh Patel has raised Fiji’s football profile around the world and he has proven himself more than capable in his role at the head of Fiji Football.

We have sent questions to the OFC in relation to this issue and a response is expected soon.
