All Blacks lock, Brodie Retallick is expected to be back for the Chiefs when they play the Rebels in Melbourne on June 14th.
This would be his only taste of competitive rugby before the All Blacks begin their international season against Argentina on July 20th in the Rugby Championship.
Retallick has been recovering from a wrist injury.
The 2014 World Rugby Player of the Year is in Fiji with the Chiefs but will not play against the Crusaders.
This game is an important one for both teams especially the Chiefs who need the win to improve their chances of getting a place in the playoffs.
New Zealand has only two teams currently in the playoffs zone, the first placed Crusaders and fourth placed Hurricanes.
The Chiefs host the Crusaders at the ANZ Stadium in Suva at 7.35pm Saturday.
