Queen Victoria School sprinter Ilaitia Waqa.

Queen Victoria School sprinter Ilaitia Waqa has been given the green light to take part in the Senior Boys 100 metres event in the Coca-Cola Games later this month.

Waqa who won the 100 metres final in the Coke Games last year was disqualified from the Tailevu Zone two weeks ago but this decision has changed as the Tailevu Zone officials have ruled that the starter was at fault.

Tailevu Zone coordinator Waisiki Koroivulavou confirms that Waqa will be running in the 100, 200 and 4x100 metres relay events at this year’s Coca Cola Games.

Waqa will be up against Natabua High School sprinter Shane Tuvusa, Keasi Naidroka and Tony Lemeki of Marist Brothers High School and Sailosi Tubuilagi of Ratu Kadavulevu School in the 100 and 200 metres senior Boys events this year.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from the 20th to the 22nd of this month.
