Police have beaten Army 25-17 in the Sukuna Bowl Rugby Challenge at the ANZ Stadium this afternoon.
Jonetani Ralulu kicked 4 penalties for Police while Army’s Tikilaci Vuibau kicked two penalties as Police led 12-6 at half time.
Army’s Tikilaci Vuibau kicked another penalty closing the gap to 9-12 in the second half.
However, Police had a drop goal through Meli Kurisaru.
Police further increased their lead after a penalty try was awarded during a scrum.
Jonetani Ralulu added the extra points as Police led Army 20-9.
A few minutes later, Army’s Tikilaci Vuibau kicked another penalty as Army trailed Police 20-12.
Jonetani Ralulu was called up again a few seconds later as he kicked another penalty to extend Police’s lead.
Army later cut the lead as Isireli Ledua scored a try with a few minutes reaming from full-time.
However Police held on to win the Sukuna Bowl Trophy.
