Paul the Octopus to predict World Cup Soccer final on Sunday

Paul, the octopus who has correctly predicted the outcome of every World Cup match played by Germany, is branching out and will weigh the final between Spain and the Netherlands.

The Sea Life Aquarium confirmed today that Paul will cast his suction cupped arms wider in his next prognostication and for the first time pick a game in which his home country is not involved.

Aquarium spokesperson said the floppy football fan will make his choice on Sunday's Germany vs Uruguay match tomorrow morning, then pick the winner of Monday's final in Johannesburg.

He had been Germany's media darling through the World Cup until he correctly picked Spain to defeat Germany.

Most Germans now want him fried in garlic butter.

The 2010 Fifa World Cup final kicks-off on Monday at 6.30am between Netherlands and Spain.
