Cameron Smith in action for the Storm last night

Melbourne Storm is through to the 2017 NRL Grand Final after thumping Brisbane Broncos 30‑0 last night.

Cameron Smith's side scored three second‑half tries to run away with the win.

Both teams showed enterprise in attack and commitment in defence.

Smith's penalty goal opened the scoring in the 18th minute after a Broncos infringement in the play of the ball.

Both sides missed scoring opportunities as Broncos winger Corey Oates and the Storm's Suliasi Vunivalu dropped the ball with the try‑line in sight.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys will take on the Roosters at 9.40 tonight in the second semi-final.
