Former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw has confirmed his engagement to hockey star Gemma Flynn.
McCaw announced the news on his Facebook page.
The 35-year-old retired from the professional game after leading his side to their second straight World Cup title, hopefully allowing him more time to watch 25‑year‑old Flynn in action.
The pair have been together since 2013.
He told ONE News late last year that it was up to Flynn when they would start thinking about becoming parents as "she was the one still competing".
