The new captain of Australia’s rugby league team has been suspended for the two‑tests against New Zealand after being charged with drink driving and speeding.
Greg Inglis was charged just hours following his appointment as captain.
He has been suspended by NRL CEO Todd Greenberg and Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga.
Inglis says he will leave it to coach Mal Meninga and the NRL to decide whether he remains Kangaroos captain.
