Afrika and Du Preez played key roles in South Africa=s Japan 7s win.
The unavailability of the two players means 19 year old WJ Strydom will make his debut while Paul Delport returns to the side which will be captained by Frankie Horne.
South Africa will face Samoa, Canada and Kenya in pool play.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7s team will leave for Scotland on Monday morning.
The Scotland 7s will be held next Saturday and Sunday.
