Flying Fijians up rankings to 10th in the world

The Vodafone Flying Fijians have moved up the World Rugby Rankings after their win against Tonga in the Pacific Nations Cup last weekend.

Fiji is now in 10th place and has surpassed Scotland who dropped to 11th place.

If the Vodafone Flying Fijians beat Samoa in their Pacific Nations Cup match this weekend they may move up to 9th position.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will take on Samoa in Sacramento.

Looking at the teams that occupy the top five positions, New Zealand remains as the world number one, South Africa is in second place, third is Ireland while 2015 rugby world cup hosts England are in fourth place.

The Wallabies have regained fifth place from Wales after defeating the Springboks.

As things stand, Pool A at Rugby World Cup 2015 contains four of the top 10 ranked teams in the world including Fiji joining England, Australia and Wales.
