The Vodafone Flying Fijians is just a game away from qualifying for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

The top two teams in the 2016 and 2017 Pacific Nations Cup will qualify with the team finishing third scheduled to enter the repechage for qualification.

At the moment Fiji is leading the PNC points table with 8 points after defeating Tonga and Samoa in the competition last year.

Head coach John McKee has stated the importance of a win against Tonga this weekend but believes that Tonga will be using rolling mauls as their attacking weapon in this match.

The top two teams in this competition will gain qualification for Rugby World Cup 2019 as Oceania 1 and Oceania 2, with the third placed team entering a home and away play‑off against the winner of Europe's Round 5 qualification match.

If Fiji tops the PNC, then it will go into the pool with Australia, Wales and Georgia.

The winner on aggregate qualifies for Rugby World Cup 2019 as the Europe/Oceania play‑off qualifier, whereas the loser will head to the world repechage.

The Flying Fijians will take on Tonga at 2pm tomorrow at Teufaiva Stadium.
