Fiji team named to take on Tonga in Oceania Rugby U20s Trophy

The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 rugby team has named a strong line-up to take on Tonga in the 2017 Oceania Rugby U20s Trophy at Churchill Park, Lautoka this afternoon.

Hooker Ratu Veremalua Vugakoto will captain the national Under 20 side while inside center Filimoni Botitu will be his vice-captain.

The two props are Emmanuel Naciva and Suva prop Luke Tagi.

Masi Ganita and Raikabula Momoedonu are the two locks, Serupepeli Uru and Ratu Meli Derenalagi will start at number six and seven respectively while Apisalome Bogidrau will start at number eight.

Peni Matawalu will combine with Tuidraki Samu-samuvodre in the halves, Poniani Batiniu will be on the left wing while Timoci Tavatavanawai will start at right wing.

The center combination will include Botitu and Veramu Dikidikilati while Josateki Degei will start at fullback.

The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 will take on Tonga at 5 this afternoon at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Their second match will be held at 5pm Saturday at Churchill Park. The winner will go through to the 2018 World Rugby U20 Trophy and the 2018 Oceania Rugby U20s Championship.
