Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter has poured cold water on Semi Radradra’s aspirations to play in November’s World Cup before he leaves to start a new career in rugby union.

Radradra’s desire is to delay joining French rugby club Toulon after declaring himself available for Fiji.

However, Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter says he most likely not select Radradra as it is doubtful Toulon would allow him to play league if he is contracted in rugby.

Regardless of Toulon’s decision to allow Radradra to play despite their season starting in August, Potter said he would be inclined to select another emerging player.

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has already shut the door on the Eels wing by leaving him out of last year’s Four Nations tour.

Melbourne Storm will meet the Sharks in the next hour.

Looking at some NRL results, the Bulldogs beat Newcastle Knights 22‑12, the Rabbitohs edged the Panthers 21‑20, the Raiders thrashed the Titans 46‑16, the Dragons beat the Sea Eagles 35‑10 while the Tigers beat the Cowboys 26-16.
