Argentina players celebrate their win over Nigeria on Wednesday morning

The group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup is finally over and the round of 16 matches have been confirmed.

There was talk heading into the final match of Group G about whether Belgium and England would even want to win their group when they'd get dropped into a side that includes France, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Portugal.

Mexico has also shown flashes of brilliance in this tournament, and the bottom line is that it is going to take a lot to get to the quarter finals.

Looking at the round of 16 match fixtures:

On Sunday, Uruguay will take on Portugal at 6am while France will face Argentina at 2am.

On Monday, Spain will take on host Russia at 2am while Croatia will face Denmark at 6am.

On Tuesday, Brazil will take on Mexico at 2am while Belgium will face Japan at 6am.

On Wednesday Sweden will meet Switzerland at 2am while Colombia will take on England at 6am.

Looking at the other results this morning, Tunisia beat Panama 2-1, Poland defeated Japan 1-0 while Columbia defeated Senegal 1-0.
