FIFA President Sepp Blatter is surprised that Argentina's Lionel Messi has won the World Cup Golden Ball award.
27 year old Messi was named as the tournament's best player after his side lost 1‑0 to Germany in the FIFA World Cup final yesterday.
Blatter said he was a little bit surprised when he saw Messi going up to collect the award for best player of the competition.
Argentina legend Diego Maradona has also called the decision “unfair”.
Maradona said Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez should have received the award.
