Cuvu College U18 will carry hopes of all western schools ahead of Deans final

The Cuvu College Under 18 team will be carrying the hopes of all the Western schools in the Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship final this Saturday.

Cuvu College backed themselves to overcome Lelean Memorial School in the quarterfinals and Marist Brothers High School in the semifinals last week.

Even though they came into the national quarters as the Western Zone runner up, Cuvu has displayed a different form of rugby in the past two weeks with their free flowing rugby and matching the physicality of the giants from the Eastern and Southern Zone.

Cuvu coach Meciusela Navitio says the whole of Nadroga and the West have been showing a lot of support to their preparations.

Navitio adds that they have four players who were part of the Under 18 team last year.

Meanwhile the Nadroga Rugby Union are assisting the Cuvu side ahead of this weekend.

The Under 18 final between RKS and Cuvu will kick off at 4.40pm Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary of this match on Viti FM.
