Chances Slim for Warriors/Barbarians

The Air Pacific Fiji Warriors and the Air Pacific Fiji Barbarians hopes of reaching the finals of the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup look dim after both sides lost their games yesterday.

Fiji Warriors coach Iliesa Tanivula said the 23-16 loss to Tau'uta Reds was very unfortunate and the loss last night meant they were out as far as the race for a grand-final berth is concerned.

After the game last night the Fiji Warriors are in fourth place on seven points and the Fiji Barbarians are at the bottom of the table on five points.

In next week's competition, the Fiji Warriors and the Fiji Barbarians meet each other on Saturday.
