A video of Carter visiting the Eden Wizard's Under 9 rugby football club was shared by the All Black on his Facebook page yesterday.
The video shows the young boys tackling Dan Carter disguised in full body armour.
When he pulls off the head piece, the boys' reactions are priceless.
The advert for Mastercard was shot at the Eden Rugby Club before Carter left for the Rugby World Cup.
Not even the parents were told what the closed shoot was for.
The boys thought they were tackling their coach.
